What a great jury!

After RTL has already got show-titan Thomas Gottschalk, the next TV sensation is coming now: the Tokio Hotel-Twins Bill (23) and Tom Kaulitz (23) will be the new judges of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (German version of “Pop Idol”)!

BILD learned exclusively from the mega-deal, which both musicians helps with their comeback two years after their last album.

A success for RTL. Pro7 had allegedly tried unsuccessfully to get Bill and Tom as judges for “The Voice” last year.

Already on the 24th September the twins will judge the first singers together with Dieter Bohlen (58). But until the TV broadcast, the fans will have to wait another three months.

The 10th season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” starts in January 2013. In addition to the Tokio Hotel-Twins also Culcha Candela frontman Itchy will sit in the jury.

Once they were the biggest popstars of Germany. In year 2005 they got millions of teenagers screaming with “Durch den Monsun”.

Then they went to America and disappeared…

A real casting show blofoff! Since two years the twins hid themselves in Los Angeles. Over and over again photos appeared that got their fans and family worried: The wicked Bill - peaked and covered with creepy tattoos. But now “Tokio Hotel” are back! Already on the 24th September the castings will take place for the 10th series with Dieter Bohlen (58).

Bohlen and “Tokio Hotel”. Is that going to work out?

The show-titan did not always speak positively about the successful teeny band (4 number one hits, more than six million sold CD’s). In summer 2010 the show-titan said “The success of ‘Tokio Hotel’ is kind of a fake at the moment since they only sold 25,000 CD’s of their last album” in an interview with “BILD am SONNTAG”. He added “The days of ‘Tokio Hotel’ are probably over”. But he also called flamboyant Bill as a “gift of god”…

Also new in the jury: the fourth guy in the jury is singer Itchyban (33) who is the front singer of “Culcha Candela” (“Hamma!”).

Premiere: It’s the first “DSDS” jury without any women.

The new “DSDS” series will be on TV in January 2013.

BILL: Hey you, it´s Tokio Hotel and we are calling you cause we wanna answer another fan question today. And the first one is: What is your favorite song of the moment?
uhm… that´s a hard question again but I definitely like BUSH at the moment. “Sound Of Winter” is a great song. I think the whole record is nice but “Sound Of Winter” is a really really good song. So I definitely like this one and I´m really into Skrillex at the moment.
TOM: Alright I like Backstreet… oh no no.. I like the new song of Noel Gallagher. Yeah I think “If I had a gun” is a really really nice song…
BILL: Yeah!
GEORG: You listen to me, right?
TOM: Always
GEORG: For me it´s … the song of the moment is maybe Coldplay with “Paradise” I think.

OMG I can’t believe there is more drama over this app. I almost think the app should have just been free, even for the low price it is it just seems so obviously a way to make money. And now the people behind the app are made there is sharing. If it were free, I don’t think we would be having this issue.

The app monitors are taking everything out of proportion. I don’t think they thought it through and maybe us fans are getting upset over nothing. To them, we are sharing copyrighted information and that is the only way they see it. Maybe we are getting too upset over this and they just mentioned it once and will forget about it from now on. I mean let them try to take action on everyone, we’ll have to see…

I think the whole app thing was a mistake, it is ALIENating fans, especially with what the admins have said. It is one thing to go out and buy a $15 cd, but another thing expecting fans to buy a $200 item. They should have just had a good blog and sold btkapp tshirts or something, there - problem solved.

They have to realize we are in a new era, a lot of artists don’t want there songs online, directors don’t want their movies online, celebrities don’t want their photos online but that is now the world we live in. Even though things are online it is essentially free promotion.

I don’t think it is Bill and Tom’s fault, they are trying to share their lives not alienate fans, but whoever is behind the app needs a wakeup call.
