I guess I will weigh in on the App nonsense going on.
OMG I can’t believe there is more drama over this app. I almost think the app should have just been free, even for the low price it is it just seems so obviously a way to make money. And now the people behind the app are made there is sharing. If it were free, I don’t think we would be having this issue.
The app monitors are taking everything out of proportion. I don’t think they thought it through and maybe us fans are getting upset over nothing. To them, we are sharing copyrighted information and that is the only way they see it. Maybe we are getting too upset over this and they just mentioned it once and will forget about it from now on. I mean let them try to take action on everyone, we’ll have to see…
I think the whole app thing was a mistake, it is ALIENating fans, especially with what the admins have said. It is one thing to go out and buy a $15 cd, but another thing expecting fans to buy a $200 item. They should have just had a good blog and sold btkapp tshirts or something, there - problem solved.
They have to realize we are in a new era, a lot of artists don’t want there songs online, directors don’t want their movies online, celebrities don’t want their photos online but that is now the world we live in. Even though things are online it is essentially free promotion.
I don’t think it is Bill and Tom’s fault, they are trying to share their lives not alienate fans, but whoever is behind the app needs a wakeup call.
